I'm a fellowship-trained Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising exclusively in foot and ankle surgery. I have more than seven years’ experience as a substantive NHS consultant and in the private sector. My NHS role is based at Wrightington Hospital, a world-renowned specialist tertiary orthopaedic centre.
I treat the full spectrum of elective and trauma-related foot and ankle conditions, including pain, deformity, arthritis, sports injuries, diabetic foot disease, and both soft tissue and bony injuries. I regularly manage common problems such as foot pain, deformity, bunions, neuromas, and lesser toe conditions, as well as complex hindfoot pathology.
I have experience with both established and innovative surgical techniques, including arthroplasty, arthroscopy, soft tissue reconstruction, cartilage repair and minimally invasive surgery. I provide an honest, personalised, and comprehensive evidence-based approach to care, with a strong focus on treating each patient as an individual and helping them return to their desired level of function.
I am an elected member of the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (BOFAS) Media and Communications Committee. In my NHS role, I am the Foot and Ankle Lead for the Diabetic Foot Service and the Lead for the internationally renowned Wrightington Foot and Ankle Fellowship.
I am a positive, energetic person with a good sense of humour, and I always aim to support and inspire those around me - whether family, friends, or colleagues. I believe my colleagues would describe me as driven, enthusiastic, and dedicated to excellence and continuous improvement.
Outside of work, I maintain an active lifestyle. I enjoy keeping fit, walking our family dog, and tending to my garden. I also have a passion for food and cooking, which I see as both a creative outlet and a way to unwind. Maintaining an active and balanced lifestyle helps me bring energy, focus, and perspective to my professional practice. Together, these interests reflect my commitment to wellbeing, balance, and connection - values that also underpin my approach to patient care.
